Tasty Tuesday

I am a creature of habit, so the motive behind my Tuesday posts is to become more adventurous in the kitchen.  I know what I like (and what the hubs likes), so those are my go to dishes.  The first dish is super easy and fast.  It takes 5 minutes to prep it and 35 minutes to cook it.  I doesn't get much better than that!

Spinach and Bacon Quiche

1/2 pound bacon; cooked and crumbled
1 cup milk
2 cups chopped fresh spinach
1 cup freshly grated cheddar cheese
4 eggs lightly beaten
salt and pepper to taste
1 rolled pie crust

Combine ingredients and pour into pie shell.  Bake at 400F for 35 minutes.

Eat up, y'all!

Southern Dumplings Saturday

Christmas in June!  I know it seems way premature, but in this business you have to start thinking about Christmas now.  I'm excited to offer more options this year.  There are three totally coordinating sets from which to choose.

The Striped Collection is available in pink, red, or green.  See all of the details here.  This company even has the family dog covered.  I know Chloe is already giving me the stank eye about this one!

The second option is chevron and quatrefoil.  These trendy patterns will make for super cute photos!

The final option is a mixture of stripes and polka dots.  This is my favorite option this year!  I love the simplicity and total coordination!

To order any of the above sets, be sure to check out the website.  The pre-order for the stripes and chevron/quatrefoil patterns ends TOMORROW.  The stripes and polka dots set end June 30th.

Fashionable Friday

I have become a lover of all things elastic.  Not only is the elastic very forgiving in the muffin top area, but the higher waist is an added bonus.  I have officially turned into my mother; I love a higher waistline!  These shorts feel like you're spending the day in your PJs, but you look cute and like you gave a LITTLE effort.

Not only are these shorts adorable...they're only $13!

Tips and Tricks Thursdays

I'm living a counterproductive life.  I love a clean, organized home.  Add 2 boys...wait, make that 3 boys and this is impossible.  I will post later about how I keep the toys at bay and other issues of organizing a small household.

Today I want to chat about my love affair with a cleaning product.  Yes, you read that right!  With little time on my hands to deep clean, this product does just what it says it will.  Scrubbing Bubbles:  "We work hard so you don't have to."  Combine this miracle in a can with a microfiber cleaning cloth and you are good to go!

I use it on my stainless steel sink in the kitchen and on everything in my bathrooms.  It works miracles on our tiled shower and glass door.  Living in the boondocks on a well does not give you the best quality of water in red clay country.  Scrubbing Bubbles takes care of these issues.  Since I've started using the product, the shower door and grout lines look like new. During my nesting phase of my last pregnancy, I sprayed every grout line in our tile floors and scrubbed with a brush.  I don't think the floors looked that good when we moved in!

Do yourself a favor and buy a bulk pack of this product at Costco.  You will thank me for it later!
